Trojan Virus Found in 104 Android Apps In Google Play Store

More than 100 type of highly malicious advertising spyware has been detected by researchers that can cripple Android apps. The research team is based in Russia is known as Doctor Web—an anti virus solution provider company; they were first to add Trojan Android .Spy.277.origin on April, 2016.This new version of Trojan can steal sensitive information from your Android phone and pops up advertisement.

These researchers found Trojan in 104 Android applications. These apps claimed to download photo editing services and animated wallpaper. Even worse is that staggering 3.2 million people have downloaded these Android.spy.277.origin.

How Trojan infects your Android device  

When a user installed one of the malicious apps, the Trojan steals more than 30 types of malicious information. Whenever, any user opens these clone apps, the malwares sends the information gathered to hackers’ command and control server—   a remote server operated by attacker.

It can even steal your IMEI number in phone as well as device model, OS version, and availability of root access. This virus can try to intimidate users from installing unwanted application onto their device.

The team at Doctor Web has started working to remove some of the malicious apps. Android users can save their device by installing antivirus solutions in their devices. You should also install apps from authentic developers.
