Android 4.4.2 KitKat Now Rolling Out To LG Optimus F6

LG just announced that a new Android 4.4.2 KitKat OTA update will be rolled out for the LG Optimus F6 users in Italy, the firmware bringing LG’s appreciated Knock Code feature. However, the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is expected to hit other European countries but not only, users of LG Optimus F6 devices in other regions should soon receive it on their devices in the following weeks.

LG Optimus F6 with a 4,5″ qHD IPS LCD display and resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM and 4GB internal storage and 4G LTE capabilities currently runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

Since reports of the OTA rollout are already in distribution, if you are one LG Optimus F6 owner keep an eye on the notification area of your device, because once your LG Optimus F6 handset becomes eligible to receive the new Android 4.4.2-KitKat update you should receive an automatic system message. After you have received the OTA notification, tap on it and follow the on-screen guidance to download and install the update on your device.

Note that, before starting the download, check if your device’s battery is fully charged and also that you are using a stable Wi-Fi connection.

The download is 554MB in size, and beyond to bring all the KitKat improvements, the new distribution significantly improves the performance of your LG Optimus F6 smartphone.

Furthermore, as already mentioned the Android 4.4.2 update brings the KnockOn feature that introduces the capability to access all your content by turning off and on the screen at any time by simply tapping a unique combination from 80,000 possible, and also new wallpapers to further customize the device.
