Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update for LG G2 Now Available at Verizon

Here comes good news for the LG G2 from the Verizon fans. Soon, they might be getting a notification on their device about system update. It seems that the Verizon’s LG G2 is now ready and eligible to receive a new update with the name of Android 4.4.4.

The information has been announced on the official Verizon’s webpage where it can be seen that that the new Android 4.4.4 update will be available but offer minor changes that have specially been developed to enhance the performance of the Smartphone.

The upgrade is touted to bring enhancements that include improved connectivity performance while roaming in Puerto Rico, enabled 4G LTE Data Roaming services globally, Advanced Calling 1.0 service possibility, Google Mobile Service App updates, improved and stable HD Video and voice calls, and updated My Verizon Mobile for Advanced Calling Self Provisioning. Additionally, the new Android update will also be complemented by updates from Google Applications.

Tough Verizon is yet to confirm the availability of the much awaited upgraded firmware for its LG G2 devices having build number VS98027A officially and unfortunately, we are still not sure of its size. Still, we will recommend using stable and high speed Wi-Fi connection before downloading and installing the updated firmware to avoid any unwanted data charges and problems.

However, if you own some Verizon branded LG G2 device then you can check for the system update message in your device’s notification bar. In case you want to perform a manual check or in case your device upgrade fails to appear, you can follow these steps:

Settings> General> > About phone > Software updates > Check now.

Also that if you have rooted LG G2 devices and wishing to install the new KitKat Android 4.4.4 update, you will lose the root but you can root the device again once the firmware is updated and applied.

Have you gotten the new update yet? Please let us know in comments.
