How to Install OxygenOS 4.0.2 on OnePlus 3

Recently the official OxygenOS4.0.2 software update was released by OnePlus for the OnePlus 3 device.   • Download the full OxygenOS 4.0.2 ROM package from here.

Apply the OxygenOS 4.0.2 Update from SD card / internal storage

1. Save the update file on the computer and place it on the desktop.

2. Connect your OnePlus 3 device with the computer using the USB cable.

3. Transfer the downloaded file on the phone’s SD card(you can also choose to place the firmware package in the root folder of the phone’s internal storage memory).

4. When the transfer is over, disconnect the device from the computer.

5. Power off the OnePlus 3 smartphone and reboot it into recovery mode.

6. From Recovery, select Install and pick up the firmware file from the SD card (or choose Install from Internal storage and load the OxygenOS 4.0.2 software).

7. Swipe to begin and to complete the installation process.

How to Use ADB Sideload

1. Save the firmware update package in the same folder as the Android SDK.

2. Power on your device and connect it to the computer using the USB cable.

3. From a computer, access the Android SDK folder and open a command window by pressing and holding the Shift keyboard key and also right clicking on any blank space.

4. In the command window type: ‘ADB reboot recovery’ and recovery mode will be booted on the OnePlus 3 device.

5. Pick ‘ADB Sideload’, from recovery and then return to the computer.

6. In the command window type: ‘adbsideload filename’ (change‘filename’ with the name of the update package, including the extension).

7. Wait until the installation process is completed, then reboot your OnePlus 3 device.
