According to an insider, the HTC One smartphone will receive a new update. This latest firmware will be Android 4.2.
Android 4.2 has been released for different devices since February this year, and this fact makes the latest update won’t be a big surprise for HTC One owners. This Android firmware will come with some new features and will optimize and give speed for HTC One phone.
With this latest update HTC ONE device will be aligned among Android smartphones which already have Android 4.2 firmware. Here, we want to mention Samsung Galaxy S4 which was launched with Android 4.2 pre-installed out of the box.
So far, HTC has not given any indication about when this update will be available to be installed on HTC ONE device, but this time according to our source; this event will be very close.
According to a tweet from an HTC Developer, Android 4.2 for HTC One will be available in two or three weeks.
Of course, this update for HTC ONE to Android 4.2 can come much sooner than two or three weeks. For example, HTC Sense Butterfly 5 may come with Android 4.2 pre-installed. So it is likely that Android 4.2 will be pushed to HTC ONE in May this year.
