Do you want to install Stock Recovery on your device? If yes, we are ready to help you if you use Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 and I9500 devices.   • Install the proper USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S4. The drivers are necessary to be installed to assure the transfer between the Android device and the PC.
  • Enable the USB Debugging Mode on your S4 device. To do this, follow the next path: Menu> Settings> Applications. Now from there, tap on the Development option and be sure the USB Debugging Mode is ON.
  • Back-up all your data stored in the device’ internal memory. The flashing process is a risky process, and that’s why you need to be sure you won’t lose any data. If your S4 device has a custom recovery image installed on it, like CWM or TWRP, you can use these tools to back-up your device.
  • Make sure your Samsung Galaxy device’ battery is at least 85 % charged.
  • Use this guide only if you are an advanced Android user, or you have enough experience in this kind of installations.
  • The S4 device should be factory unlocked and isn’t locked for any carrier.

How to install stock recovery on Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 and I9505 devices:

  1. First, download the official Galaxy S4 recovery file to your PC from next links for Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505
  2. Second, extract the downloaded zip files content and place them on your PC’s desktop.
  3. Now, Download the Odin 3.04 version from here and extract its content on your computer. This tool will help to install the Samsung Stock recovery files on your S4 device.
  4. Power off the Samsung Galaxy S4 device.
  5. Now, boot it in the Download Mode menu. To do this, you need to press and keep holding the Volume Down+Home+Power buttons simultaneously.
  6. Double click on the Odin.exe file to launch the ODIN app.
  7. Connect your smartphone with your computer using the USB cord.
  8. When the connection is established ODIN app will say ‘added!’ message and that means the smartphone is recognized by the PC, and now you can move on the next step.
  9. Now, in ODIN app click the PDA and then browse your computer for the stock downloaded and extracted .tar.md5, select this file. Make sure you don’t change the default settings on the ODIN interface, ensure that the F. Reset Time and the Auto Reboot checkboxes are selected, and the Re-partition option is unchecked.
  10. Click the START button when you wish to start the installation process of stock recovery image for S4 device. The installation process will take some time to complete all the automatically flashing steps. When the Odin restarts automatically your smartphone, the installation is complete.
  11. Disconnect the smartphone from the PC after the home screen is displayed.

That’s all! Congratulations! Now your S4 smartphone has installed the original and stock Recovery image.

Note: If ODIN app get frozen or can’t complete the process, then you’ll need to disconnect your smartphone from the computer, close ODIN app, and repeat the entire step-by-step guide from the step 6.
