Sony Xperia E Receiving Firmware Update 11.3.A.2.33

Sony Xperia E

Sony Xperia E devices received a small update which will move the firmware from build version 11.3.A.2.23 to version 11.3.A.2.33, according to XDA forum.

Since Sony has not provided an official changelog nor updated its Xperia E support page, therefore, we can not say what improvements and fixes will include the new update. This new update is still Android 4.1.1-software version and probably includes some security fixes from Google and small bug fixes.

The update started to roll out over-the-air and hit the Xperia E devices, so if you did not receive an automatic system message keep an eye on the notification bar, because once your Xperia E device becomes eligible to receive the new 11.3.A.2.33 update you will be prompted by your phone to download and install the update.

The update can be done using a USB cable connected to your computer and update via Sony PC Companion or manually check for an available update by going to Settings->About phone->Software update and follow the instruction appeared on the screen.

It is recommendable to fully charge your battery and also make a backup of your important data before the update.

It seems that in some cases after Xperia E device gets updated, the Internet does not work although Wifi network can be connected.
