Update Galaxy Pocket Neo Duos S5312 with Official DXAMH1 Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 Firmware

The new Samsung Galaxy Pocket 2 dubbed as Neo Duos S5312 received a new OTA update in Vietnam named DXAMH1 firmware. This new release is still a 4.1.2 version of Android JB OS, and it comes more as a bug fixes without more remarkable features or improvements.

Anyway, this new version of Android 4.1.2 JB DXAMH1 firmware is a stable firmware and offers for your Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo Duos S5312 device more performances and stability.

This present step by step tutorial is provided to teach you how to install the new official Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean DXAMH1 firmware on the Samsung Pocket Neo Duos S5312 model using a manually method.

 How to install DXAMH1 Official JB 4.1.2 Firmware on Galaxy Pocket Neo Duos S5312 with

  1. Download and install the suitable USB drivers for Neo Duos device, if you don’t have them you can use Samsung KIES app and install the appropriate drivers through the program.
  2. Download the update file from here and save it in your PC.
  3. Unzip the downloaded firmware zip file on desktop.
  4. Download and install the ODIN app in your PC
  5. Finally, run Odin on the computer.
  6. Run ODIN app in your PC.
  7. Now, power off the Android device complete.
  8. Reboot it into Download Mode (by pressing and keep holding the Volume Down, Power and Home buttons at simultaneous.
  9. Connect the Galaxy Pocket Neo Duos S5312 to PC, using the USB cable.
  10. Now, wait for Odin recognize the device and in the Odin interface will be displayed the “Added” message and the ID:COM will be yellow or blue.
  11. If not, you have to disconnect the device from the PC by removing the USB cord, close the ODIN app, reinstall once again the USB drivers, change the USB port from PC and repeat the update process from start.
  12. If the device has been recognized of ODIN then you can move to the next step.
  13. From ODIN app select the “ODA” option.
  14. Browse and pick the downloaded and extracted firmware file.
  15. Important: Make sure that the re-partition and f.reset time options are unchecked.
  16.  Do not make other changes in ODIN app’s interface.
  17. Click on “Start” to begin the flashing process.
  18.  Wait a few minutes while the new Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware will be installed on the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo Duos device.
  19. When the “pass” message is displayed into ODIN interface then the flashing process is done.
  20. Disconnect the device from the PC and reboot the smartphone.

Troubleshooting:

  • If the Galaxy Pocket Neo Duos device, after rebooting entering into a boot loop you have to :
  1. Reboot the device into Recovery Mode:
  2. From the Recovery Mode menu select “wipe data factory reset” followed by “wipe cache partition”.
  3. Reboot the device once again.
  • If during the flashing process ODIN app gets stuck you have to:
  • Close the ODIN
  • Disconnect the device from the PC
  • Force restart the device
  • Reinstall the USB drivers once again on the PC
  • Repeat all the flashing guide once more.

Congratulation, the new Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean DXAMH1 firmware has been installed on the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo Duos S5312 device.
