How to install the Preview build of Android 4.2 AOSP ROM on HTC Desire HD:
- First download the pre-alpha custom ROM zip package from this link and save it to your PC. Don’t extract the file, only save it on your desktop PC.
- Now, connect your smartphone to your PC with the help of USB cord.
- Copy and paste the pre-alpha custom ROM zip file on the internal device SD card. When the file is copied, disconnect your smartphone from the computer.
- Now, power off your HTC Desire HD device and after that boot the device into CMW Recovery mode.
- There in the CMW Recovery mode select ‘wipe data/ factory reset’ option and after that confirm this action.
- Select ‘install zip from sdcard’ and ‘choose zip from sdcard’ there find the pre-alpha custom ROM zip and confirm your installation.
- When the custom ROM is installed, you need to return in the main CWM Recovery menu, select ‘reboot system now’. Your device will perform a restart, wait around 6 minutes for flashing process.
- Now, join your Google Account and after that you’ll have all control over your HTC Desire HD device.
