Update the Samsung Galaxy S4 Duos I9502 to Official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean ZNUAMDG Firmware

Download and Install the proper USB drivers for Samsung Galaxy S4 Duos in your PC.
If you are already running in your device a custom Recovery image like CWM or TWRP, we strongly recommend you to create a NANDROID back-up for your actually ROM that you’re running in your device, that will represent a restore point for your OS, if something won’t work correctly.

How to manually install official ZNUAMDG Android 4.2.2 on Galaxy S4 Duos I9502

Firstly, download the Official Android 4.2.2 I9502 ZNUAMDG Firmware file from here, save it in your computer and when the download completes, extract the zip file.
Secondly Download ODIN v3.07 app, with this application you’ll be able to install the Android 4.2.2 Firmware in your device.
Now, power off your device and reboot your Galaxy S4 Duos into Download Mode. To do that you need to press and keep holding the Volume Down and Home buttons simultaneously and then press the Power button, when you’ll see the Android construction logo robot together with a triangle displayed on your device’ screen. Press Power button again to enter into Download Mode.
On your computer run Odin app as Administrator.
Connect your Samsung Galaxy S4 Duos device to your PC using the USB cord, while your smartphone is in the Download Mode menu.
If the device is connected properly, just look in ODIN interface, and you should see one of the ID: COM boxes collared in yellow or blue appearing with the COM port number. This action can take some time.
Now, in ODIN interface click on PDA button and browse and select the .tar file that contain the “CODE” in its name. You should keep this file in the place of previously downloaded firmware archived in step 1.
- Click on “Phone” button and browse and select the file with “MODEM” in its name. Don’t apply this step, if you don’t have this file.
- Click on “CSC” button and browse and select the file with “CSC” in its name. Also, don’t apply this step if, where you downloaded the firmware pack, you don’t have this file.
- Click on “PIT” button, browse and select the .pit file, ignore this step if there, when you have extracted the firmware pack file, you don’t have this file.
Important: in ODIN window, make sure that the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” checkboxes are selected. In addition, if you are using a .pit file, the repartition checkbox must be selected. In case you don’t follow these settings, you risk damaging your device.
When you want to start the flashing process click on START button in ODIN, this action will initiate the installation of I9502ZNUAMDG update on your Samsung Galaxy S4 Duos.
Wait for ODIN to finish the flashing process.
When the installation is successfully done, your device will restart, and when the logo with the SAMSUNG text appear on your device’ screen, disconnect the smartphone from the PC by removing the USB cable.
