The smartphones with large screens seem to dominate the launches from the IFA Berlin 2014, one of this new smartphones is OneTouch Hero 2 announced by Alcatel that sports a large display. The smartphone comes with a stylus, and an intelligent Magic Flip LED cover.

Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2 has a 6-inch display with Full HD resolution(1920 x 1080 pixels) and comes with the most advanced chipset from MediaTek, the 2GHz Octa-core MT6592 coupled with 2GB RAM.

The device comes with 16GB internal storage space that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD cards. The OneTouch Hero2 has a thickness of only 7,8mm and weights 175 grams even though its housing is from aluminium.

Alcatel representatives claim that the performance of the new OneTouch Hero2 is also extended to the 13MP camera with optical image stabilization that the company presents it able to shoot close to DSLR quality pictures.

In terms of connectivity, OneTouch Hero 2 features Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi b / g / n, NFC and a 4G modem.

The battery of the OneTouch Hero 2 is 3,100mAh that should last charged around 10 hours of 3G talk time or 4.5h in 4G mode and around 380 hours in stand-by mode.

The price for Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2 is about 350 euros, and it looks like the will reach the stores in several European countries by the end of September, but at the moment there are no information if the device will be sold outside Europe.
