Android 4.4.2 KitKat OTA Update now available for T-Mobile LG G Flex device

The big news comes from the LG Company that has announced on their support page that their LG G Flex smartphone from T-Mobile is starting to receive the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. The new update comes about a week after the Sprint version of the device received it.

The new Android 4.4.2 update for LG G Flex device is now available for download directly from the LG Company’s support page where you’ll find the instructions required in order to apply the new firmware on your LG G Flex device. As you probably know that the new firmware will be rolled out in stages, meaning that some devices might not be able to receive the automatically OTA notification right away.

When the LG G Flex device from T-Mobile will receive the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, users should receive an automatically system update message on the device’s notification area.

All the user need to do is that to tap it and follow the on-screen step by step instructions. The new Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware is called D95920d and in additional the firmware can be manually checked from the Settings > General > About Phone > System updates > Check now.

The new KitKat firmware will add for your T-Mobile LG G Flex device new features and improvements such as transparent status and nav bar, cloud printing, white status bar icons, full screen album art in the device’s lockscreen, new location menu, color emoji support, etc. In addition, the new firmware comes with the KnockCode feature and other software bug fixes.

Moreover, the T-Mobile company also says that the device need to have more than 65 % to be able to receive the update without any problem, because the update is quite big and for download it the device should have a WiFi network connection for downloading it.
