Android 5.0.1 Lollipop Update OTA ZIP for Nexus 6 Free for Download

Great news from Google Nexus Team, the new Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OTA update for Nexus 6 device is now released and available for download.

As you probably know that the Mountain View-based giant released the new Nexus 6 Android 5.0.1 Lollipop factory image and now they come with the official firmware OS.

The new Nexus 6 Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update comes as an OTA release, but the rolled out is expected in stages. This means not all users will be available to receive it in the same time after the first batch is rolled out. All that you need to do is to check for the system update message notification on the device’s notification bar. If you didn’t received it, then you can also verify it by performing a manual verification under Settings > About phone > System updates > Check now.

Additionally, if the manual verification fails to show a new update then you can use the OTA ZIP file to force the update to your Nexus 6 device.

The new update is named LRX22C and is released with a size around 70 MB. Unfortunately, there’s no official changelog available, but you should verify for the new changes once the update is successfully installed.

You can download the new Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OTA ZIP for Nexus 6 by using this address. As you probably know that the new update can be installed by using a manual method and the ODIN software and the ‘adb sideload’ command.

Did you flashed the new Android 5.0.1 Lollipop on your Google Nexus 6 device?
