Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA Update for Nexus 5 Now Live

Good news for all Nexus 5 owners, after almost a month of waiting the new Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update is now here.

Yesterday, Google announced via Twitter that the new update is now released for Nexus 5 devices and users are already reporting that they are started receiving the new update.

As you probably know that this update is rolled out in stages, which means that some users have to wait longer until the new Android 5.0 Lollipop for Nexus 5 device hits your device. The new Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Nexus 5 device has build number LRX21O and it comes with a weighs around 400 MB. That’s why it is recommended to have a stable WiFi network in order to download the update file to don’t avoid your data mobile plan.

As you can imagine that, once your Nexus 5 device becomes eligible to get the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update, you should be able to receive an automatically system update message in the device’s notification bar.

For downloading and installing the new update you need tap on the notification message area then choose ‘Download now’, wait until the download process is done, and then select ‘Install now’.
