Sharp the Japanese company is best-known for its televisions, now announced the launch of two smartphones with virtually no edge and attractive design. They are part of Aquos Crystal line and are designed especially for the Japanese market, but one of these terminals will come to the West, according to gsmarena.
The Aquos Crystal line will have the Sharp Aquos Crystal and Aquos Crystal X smartphones.
Sharp Aquos Crystal with a beautiful design looks like a premium device but is intended for the intermediate segment coming under the hood with a 5 inch HD display with a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a 1,2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal space which is expandable via MicroSD card up to 128 GB.
It will come with Android version 4.4.2 KitKat on board, and it will be powered by a 2040 mAh battery.
Thanks to a partnership with Harman Harkdon Sharp Aquos Crystal brings superior sound processing and compatibility with Bluetooth speaker ONYX Studio.
The fact that the smartphone practically has no frame, however, has a downside, the device is 10 mm thick and weighs 140 grams.
Sharp Aquos Crystal will be available for a price of $ 239 without signing a contract to a North American telecom operators.
Sharp Aquos Crystal X, is closer to a high-end smartphone and comes with a 5.5 ” display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage with a more generous 2610 mAh battery.
Unfortunately, the ‘X’ version of Sharp Aquos Crystal will be available only in Japan for now.
