AT&T Releases Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OTA for Pantech Flex smartphones

Good news for AT&T owners, AT&T announced last week a new update will be rolled out for Pantech Flex device. This new firmware is Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update.

This update will comes with Project Butter feature for smooth and responsive scrolling; also the Google Now will be present for receiving new information and for saving time with actionable notifications. Also with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update the Pantech Flex owners will receive AT&T Drive Mode application which will help its users for preventing text actions while driving. On the software part, also we will find a SwiftKey virtual keyboard which comes pre-installed.

After you’ll install the latest update a new capability for automatically re-size widgets, which are too large for an individual home screen.

For readers who don’t know the Pantech Flex technical specifications, it comes with a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display, which will offer a 540 x 960 (qHD) resolution and 256ppi pixel density. Also, under its box has a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, an Adreno 225 GPU component for all graphics capability. On the memory store and RAM sides, it brings 1GB of RAM and 8GB store space for its internal device’s memory with the possibility to be extended at 32 GB with the help of MicroSD slot.

On the camera side,  the Pantech Flex comes with an 8MP camera on back which has the ability to take video on 1080 x 1920 (30fps). The front camera has 2MP and is a perfect tool for meetings, self-portrait and video chat. All the functionality is supporting by a 1830mAh battery.

Wireless carrier AT&T has announced that the new Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will be pushed to Pantech Flex smartphones over the air, and this update like you probably know that will be released in phases, and it is probably some owners will have to wait a bit longer for this new firmware.
