AT&T Samsung Galaxy Mega Android 4.4.2 OTA Update Now Available for Download

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Mega received the new Android 4.4.2 update. So, if you have a gigantic 6.3-inch device you should keep an eye on the notifications panel.

It is a minor update, and all the new features such as transparent status and nav bars, color emoji support, white status bar iconography, immersive mode, and full screen album art in the lockscreen, cloud printing where patched in the previous KitKat update back in June this year. The new minor update comes with Android OS improvements only.

As you know that, the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Galaxy Mega is starting rolled out in phases, that’s means that some of you might have to wait supplementary than others. The new iteration is called KOT49H.I527UCUBNJ1 and comes with a size of 77.3 MB.

Even though the new Android 4.4.2 KOT49H.I527UCUBNJ1 update file isn’t that big in terms of size, it is recommended to download it by using a stable WiFi connection. Once your Samsung Galaxy Mega device starts to be eligible to receive the new Android 4.4.2 firmware, you should be able to receive an automatically update message in the device’s notification area. All that you need to do is to tap on it and then select “Download Now”, then wait until the new download is done, then select “Install Now”. Your Galaxy Mega device should take an automatically reboot and install the new Android 4.4.2 update.

If the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat update failed to be pushed, the user also want to do a manual verification under Settings>More>About device>Softer Update> Check for updates.

Alternatively, you can connect your device by using the USB cord, then connect the Galaxy Mega device to the PC and verify the new update via KIES application.
