After many months of waiting, the popular BlackBerry Messenger application (BBM) and its services are finally on the way to Android and iOS devices.

The last minute release rumors report that the hugely popular BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) app will be officially released this Friday, September the 20th.

According to the n4bb website the Canadian mobile phone maker is expected officially to  introduce the BBM app for Android and iOS as soon as tomorrow, September 19. The event when the application will be launched is expected to be in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Furthermore, the some leaks from teknoup.com report that apparently the Black Berry vendor has already sent out invitations of this event in Jakarta.

As we have seen on the official website of Black Berry vendor, the company confirmed its plans to release BBM for Android and iOS platforms a while ago, and in additional there is a registration form where you can subscribe with your email address to be one of the first users who will receive the application.

Moreover, the BlackBerry phone maker’s company is expected to make available for download for both Android and iOS devices the next day after the BBM launch event, starting with September 20.

Also, the news should be taken with a pinch of salt, as it was firstly announced on Twitter Social Network by a Samsung employee from Nigeria. The tweet said that the BlackBerry Messenger application on Android would be in the first period after its launch available only to Samsung devices.

However, when the BBM will be available for download in Google Play Store, it will be a free application and will need minimum Android Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean OS to run.
