BitTorrent Sync V1.4.36 Brings Updated Interface, Enhanced Security, And More

Sync for Android

BitTorrent is a well-known peer-to-peer file transfer protocol, but the company has also developed a service that lets you sync and share unlimited number of files or folders across all of your devices, namely BitTorrent Sync.

BitTorrent Sync is essentially a file sharing service and not a backup solution – there is no cloud storage, and the files are directly transferred between devices. Also, if you are sharing a file with multiple users, you can have the benefits of speed sync, thanks to peer-to-peer technology. The advantage of the BitTorrent Sync service, compared to Dropbox or Google Drive is that it has no limit to file size and also is a great solution for sharing files between devices with different operating systems.

The company is trying to make the service more user-friendly and now has pushed an update to version v 1.4.36, and users of the Sync for Android app can now go to Google Play Store and download the new iteration.

The new Sync for Android update brings security improvements with optional approval process, better backup functionality that allows you to back up any folder or file on your Android device and now you can easily share folders via email, HTTPS link or QR code.

Once you update the BitTorrent Sync app you will also discover an updated user interface as well as additional product optimizations.

The v1.4.36 of Sync for Android is available for download in Google Play Store and works on all devices with Android 2.2 and up.
