Built-In Call Blocking Features

Most Android phones offer a native way to block specific numbers. Other phones have specific ways for achieving this goal. It is not possible to discuss specific tips, but we will share some more popular techniques.

Stock Android

If you have stock Android handset smartphone such as Nexus 6P or Nexus 5X? you can easily do this. You just need to open your Phone app, go to recent calls, long press the desired number and select “Block number”.

Another way to do this is to open the Phone app, tapping on the 3-dot menu icon, select “Settings”. From the menu, and hit “Call blocking” of the desired number.

Some Carriers Make It Easier

If you really want to block a particular caller, some carriers allow you to achieve this on the service level. All 4 major carriers in the USA (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint) provide this service.

However, there is a limitation to this feature such as Verizon only allows up to 5 blocked numbers per line. AT&T also provides this feature but it varies from device to devices.
