Chrome for Android v36 shows Doodles in new tabs

Chrome for Android

Chrome for Android is updated according to posts on the Google Chrome releases blog by Jason Kersey, the newest version of Chrome for Android being officially known as Chrome 36.0.1985.122 will be available on Google Play Store in the coming days.

The Chrome v36 for Android comes with bug and security fixes and a couple of new features.

Changes detailed in Chrome v36 for Android include enhanced text rendering on non-mobile optimized sites, better suggestions before you start typing, Doodles in the new tab page, and many other bug fixes and performance enhancements. Let’s just hope that those “many bug fixes and performance improvements” are a lot, especially on low-end devices, in which Chrome is struggling more than it should.

Keeping your Chrome browser updated is just as important on your Android device as it is on your desktop.

An updated browser brings not only security and stability, but also makes sure you are getting all the new features the Chrome developers have been implementing and working on.

Updating your browser takes a few seconds, and it is worth the effort so go to Google Play Store and download the Chrome v36 for Android.

A list of changes in this new build is available in the SVN revision log.

If you encounter new bugs, you are more than welcome to inform the Chrome team by filing a bug.
