Commandr application allows users to configure Google Now voice commands for various actions, such as turning Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth, GPS, the flashlight or to control the music player. To use voice commands, users must first say “OK Google notes to self” and then the desired command.

The application can be used to take notes or various custom actions such as a series of home automation – control air conditioning or lighting system.

Now, Commandr app has received a major update to version 2.1 that makes it much easier to use.
From the lack of suitable APIs for Google Now that would provide third-party apps to communicate with it, the developers had to use a detour to make this possible: instead of being able to accept a voice command immediately, has so far only converted a shot from Google Now note in the corresponding action of Commandr.

However, this application had to upstream “Note to self” and by the wait time from saving the note needed many seconds until each command was executed.
With Commandr version 2.1 this flaw has been fixed, and the app receives permission entries on Google Now for accessibility options and thereby to interpret voice commands.
Who fears about his privacy, can still do well with the old method inputs. Users could previously suggest and vote for new voice commands to be added into the application.

Unfortunately, this possibility has been removed – now, you can set only for the already built-in functions, such as activation of the flashlight, another word for activation.
After you update Commandr app to version 2.1, you will need to initiate the service from the Settings->Accessibility menu, and you will then be able to issue commands directly.

All users can download Commandr from the Google Play Store on your device that runs at least Android 4.1 or up.

In addition to the simplified syntax, commands now work offline and also execute faster.
