Coursera for Android is an application that helps you improve or gain knowledge in many fields such as computer science, chemistry, business or even cooking. This tool provides its users with more than 600 courses in more than 20 areas from math to music, to medicine.

If you used the app before you probably noticed that on small devices is a little uncomfortable to watch the lectures, this is why the Coursera developers added with the latest update to version 1.2 Chromecast support for you to watch your courses on big screens. This new feature facilitates your learning, and now you can see the videos of the courses directly to your television with your Chromecast.

After the upgrade, you can use your Chromecast to preview themes directly and view the lectures on television. In addition, an update received by the video player allow you to rewind 10 seconds and search a particular part of the course much more convenient and faster.

Another novelty is that you can now glide between Past, Current and Upcoming tabs in the My Courses section.

Furthermore, landscape mode is added that works on smartphones without any problems and also Coursera version 1.2 comes with fixed errors encountered by users and added performance improvements.

Coursera is available completely free of charge on Google Play Store. Although more than 600 courses are accessible for free, if you want verified certificate in classes it will cost you money.

The Coursera application requires Android 4.0 or up.
