How to enter on Nexus 10 Fastboot Mode

We will learn how to boot the Nexus 10 device into Fastboot Mode. It will allow you to gain access to the Nexus 10 hidden system options to unlock the device’s bootloader.

 

Fastboot Mode is used normally to install updates, add new files, to insert commands and more. Users can perform  more actions by using Fastboot (Bootloader Mode), however some actions are available only if you have the Android SDK bundle and drivers flashed in your PC.

So, if you have a Nexus 10 device,  you want to know how to enter into Fastboot Mode and Unlock its bootloader, you need to install the Android SDK drivers, open a Command Prompt by using the SDK/platform-tools folder, now you need to enter the “fastboot oem unlock” command line.

  1. First, turn off the Google Nexus 10 device. Second, press and keep holding the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons simultaneous. (Do not release the buttons for few seconds).
  2. When the Fastboot Mode shows the START, test on the upper side of the Google Nexus 10 device you can release all the buttons.
  3. Now the Fastboot Mode menu will be displayed.

Note: If you want to install new custom ROMs by using the CWM or TWRP Recovery Mode, you need to boot into Fastboot menu and from there use the Volume buttons to change the Start text to Recovery Mode and confirm that with pressing Power button.
