Flow Home-A Different Launcher For Android Available In Private Beta

Flow Home App For Android

If you want to try a different launcher for your Android device, Flow Home is a free alternative that changes the usual approach adding a new concept that focuses on the social aspect, carrying on the home screen, news from our Hangouts, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter accounts.

The Flow Home app is currently in closed beta testing stage, and the first boot will require you to enter an activation code; you can obtain an activation code or personalized invitation via Twitter following flowhomeapp. After you’ve got the code you can continue with the configuration by logging in with your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. During the process, you can also activate the notification, authorizing the app from your device’s settings.

Once you completed the preliminary steps you can begin to use the launcher.

From the first screen shown, you will have access to cards similar to Google Now: all posts, tweets, photos and everything that happens in the social networks in chronological order you can see them in a single glance. Of course, the list can be updated by dragging it towards the bottom while a button on the bottom right allows quick access to some applications.

At the top there is a bar that shows the date, the image of your profile and the current weather conditions. The application’s options allow you to change the appearance of the list of the tabs, turn the mode for left-handers, customize your profile picture and the bar or set the update interval for individual accounts.

You can access the drawer from the main screen, with a swipe to the left, where a vertical list shows all your applications in alphabetical order.

The graphics are inspired by Material Design with smooth and nice animations, and the experience of the Flow Home launcher is already excellent, although it is in the early stages.

So if you want to install the Flow Home launcher on your Android device go to Google Play Store and download it and to participate in the beta program you only have to follow the development team on its Twitter account, where are published access codes to be used in the installation procedure.

The Flow Home application requires Android 4.0.3 or up.
