Gmail App For Android V4.9 Adds Direct Google Drive File Attachments

Gmail Android

Gmail app for Android devices moves to version 4.9, receiving options for storing and loading attachments in Google Drive account.

Additionally, Google has introduced a revised version of the self-completion system of contact suggestions provided in the To, Cc and Bcc of the messages that we want to send. Thus, instead of displaying all the email addresses associated to a contact, each address is now shown separately.

When attaching a file from Google Drive account now, we can edit the share options in case when the addressee does not have access. Option to attach files from Drive account is available in the main menu, the process of selecting files from the Drive list requires only one step. Apparently, the new version of Gmail solves problems affecting the way it is synchronized the contact list.

You can download from the Gmail app version 4.9 for Android 4+ delivered in an APK package signed by Google, or you can wait for the update to be available in the Google Play Store in the coming days.
