Google Maps For Android Adds Hindi Language Support And Navigation Notifications Improvements On Android Wear

Google Maps has been updated to version 8.3 and is now available for download in Play Store.

The new iteration for the application that allows you to explore the world quickly and easily brings only minor changes. One of the changes is, that, Hindi language is now supported, as a language option for both the app and voice navigation; this is due to Google’s desire to provide people available information displayed in as many languages as possible.

If you are one of the 400 million Hindi speaking users, the Google’s effort will definitely enjoy you.

To get voice notification as well as the Maps interface in Hindi you just need to go to your device’s Settings scroll down to Languages and select Hindi.

Once you opt in to Hindi, you will be able to see Hindi name marked directly on the map for localities, cities, important roads, and popular points of interest such as parks and schools.

The v 8.3 of Maps also brings improved navigation notifications on Android Wear-based devices as well as bug fixes.

The Google Maps update notification should appear soon on your device if did not already.
