How to root LG G2 smartphone on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Firmware

Pre-requisites:

 How to root LG G2 on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean:

  1. First, download the root file from here and save it in your PC.
  2. Second, extract the downloaded root zip file to a folder on the desktop folder on the PC.
  3. Now, connect the LG G2 device to the PC using the USB cord.
  4. Next navigate to the folder where you’ve extracted the Root Package zip files and open the folder.
  5. From there launch a command prompt window (CMD) in this folder. Note: to launch a CMD windows press and keep holding the Shift button from the keyboard and then right-click on the white space in the folder, and from the displayed menu choose  ‘Open command prompt window here’.
  6. Now, on the CMD window enter the following command: adb devices
  7. Now,, this command will verify if the LG G2 device is successfully connected with the PC. If a serial number is displayed then you can continue to the next step; if the serial number isn’t displayed, you need reinstall the USB drivers once again. Also, you need to verify again if the USB debugging option is enabled.
  8. Now, from the Root Package folder launch the ‘root.bat‘ file.
  9. Press any key to continue as the new command prompt guide you.
  10. The LG G2 device will be successfully detected.
  11. Next, disconnect the smartphone from computer by removing the USB cord.
  12. Return to Developer Options section and from there disable the USB Debugging Option.
  13. Wait a few second and from the same menu re-enable the USB Debugging Option.
  14.  Now, reconnect the LG G2 device to the PC using the USB cord.
  15. Next, “Press any key to continue”
  16.  Wait for the root file to be applied.
  17.  When the root process is applied close the root command prompt.
  18. Go back to the previously command prompt window which you have opened in the step 5.
