We will show you an easy method to root Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 on Android 4.4.2 KitKat based firmware (I9505XXUFNA1).
We will use an Auto-Root package developed and released by famed developer and hacker called Chainfire.

- Create a back of all data.
- Ensure that before starting to root the device, the battery of the S4 smartphone should be more than 85% power.
How to root Android 4.4.2 KitKat on Galaxy S4
- Download Chainfire’s CF-Auto-Root package with SuperSU fix from here, and save it in your PC.
- Download the Odin 3 application from here and save it in your PC.
- Power off the Galaxy S4 device.
- Boot it into Download Mode (Press and keep holding the volume down and power buttons together, and follow on-screen instructions for entering into Download Mode.
- Open the ODIN application on your PC.
- Connect the device to PC when it is in to Download Mode by using a USB cable.
- Wait until the ODIN application recognizes the device and the COM boxes and the Com port number with “added” message is displayed.
- From ODIN application, click PDA button, select the CF Auto-Root file you’ve downloaded above.
- Ensure that the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Tome boxes are ticked from the ODIN interface.
- Do not perform other supplementary configuration on ODIN app.
- Now, from ODIN application press the START button.
- The root process should begin, and the SuperSU binaries will be installed.
