Important: Don’t  use the “back” button of your S4 smartphone when you perform the below steps;

  1. Launch the Service Mode on your Galaxy S4 device. To do that tap “*#0011#” in the dialer of your S4 smartphone.
  2. Now, after the Service Mode menu will be showed, tap on “menu” – left soft key and after the dropdown menu is displayed select the “back” option.
  3. Next, tap on Menu button once again and select “Key input” this time.
  4. Tap on the box that will be showed and there enter “1” and after that click/tap on “OK”
  5. Now, go back to the main Service Mode menu and from there, tap on “menu” and select “back” option.
  6. From the Service Mode menu, select “[1] UMTS” option.
  7. Now, Up next, and select “Debug Screen” from the next screen.
  8. From the new option menu tap on “Phone control” option.
  9. Now, from the “phone control menu” tap on “network lock”.
  10. Now, select “PERSO SHA256 OFF” option.
  11.  Return to the UMTS menu ; ( to do that, you need to press on the menu button and from there select the back option).
  12. Now, you are in the UMTS menu.
  13. From the UMTS menu, tap on “Common”.
  14. And from there, select “NV REBUILD” option.
  15. Now, from the new menu which is showed select “Restore backup”.
  16. After that, your Samsung Galaxy S4 device will be get a freeze state. It is normal to be on a freeze state in this step.
  17.  Next, the screen of your display will be black, and the LED from the S4 phone will be colored into blue light color.
  18.  When the process is done, your S4 device will get an automatic reboot.
  19.  Now, wait to perform the first boot and this boot takes more time to complete than usual.
  20. Your Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 or i9500 is SIM unlocked.
