A new flagship comes today from HTC, it’s about the new HTC Desire 500 which goes official in Taiwan. Then new device is running under Google’s Android OS, and it comes as a mid-range device with a price tag of NT$11,900 ($398 around €300). This new model from HTC named Desire 500 has some good specifications and the price is looking quite competitive with other high mid-range Android phones form the international phone makers.
The device is expected official to be available for purchase today, July 24, and it will be also introduced trough HTC and Taiwan Mobile stores beginning with next month, August 1.
The HTC Desire 500 goes in Taiwan market powered with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, a 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen display and 1GB of RAM.
Moreover, the new HTC Desire 500 comes with 4 GB for internal storage memory and a MicroSD memory card for the possibility to extend its storage memory.
In terms of camera specifications, it also includes an 8-megapixel photo sensor on the back with autofocus, F2.0 aperture, 28mm for lens, and HTC ImageChip feature; also it comes with a LED flash integrated.
On the front, the new Android-based device comes with a 1.6 megapixel camera BSI sensor; this front camera will be great for business video calls and conferences.
In terms of dimensions, the HTC Desire 500 will measuring 131.8 x 66.9 x 9.9 mm with weighs 123 grams, with an 1800 mAH battery integrated. The new Android based device will is aimed mainly at a young audience; it will be released in a variety of color options.
