HTC Launches Butterfly 2 In Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, And Thailand

The Butterfly 2 is the newest smartphone in the Butterfly family from HTC, and starting September 2 will be available in the Asian markets, with Taiwan to be the first one to offer it through Chunghwa Telecom.

HTC Butterfly 2 was previously launched on the Japanese telecommunications operator, KDDI as “HTC J butterfly HTL23,” and now will be also sold through major wireless carriers and retailers in other markets like India, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

HTC Butterfly 2 handset features a 5.0″ Full HD display, and it is powered by a Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2.5GHz quad-core CPU, has 2GB RAM and 16/32GB inbuilt storage with microSD card slot.

The device comes with a 13 MP Duo Camera on the back with f/2.0, 28mm lens and Full 1080p HD Video Recording support and a 5 MP front camera for selfies and video calls on the go.

The Butterfly 2 is equipped with HTC’s BoomSound speakers and has a water and dust resistant body runs Android 4.4 KitKat and is dynamised by a 2700mAh battery, that promises up to 23.9 hours for 3G talk time and up to 643 hours for 3G standby time.

In terms of connectivity, Butterfly 2 offers  Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX enabled, 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, NFC, Wi-Fi : IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), HTC Connect, micro-USB 2.0 port, DLNA and support consumer infrared remote control options.

Plus, thanks to the collaboration between HTC and Harman Kardon the device comes up with the LiveStage Signal Processing Technology, that creates a vivid, powerful and crystal-clear sound with rich tones and according to HTC, the device delivers 25% louder sound than the HTC One.
