HTC Company has started to roll out the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware for its ONE device in Taiwan. The update is pushed out over the air (OTA), and it should be released for the rest of the word soon.
The info comes by a Twitter user which shares a photo with the new update notification. So, keep an eye on your HTC One smartphone as the new notification about the availability of the new Android 4.3 JB firmware might arrive sooner.
The new update is released just in time for HTC One, as you know that Google is already planning the upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat version in October for its Nexus devices.
This means that the HTC One owners might receive the new KitKat firmware to their smartphones by the end of this year or early of the next year.
The HTC One device is one of the best high-end devices on the market, it was launched earlier this year, and now it can finally receive the latest Android Jelly Bean experience.
The latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Ota update brings new features, enhancements and bug fixes for your device such as adds tweaks for camera color contrast when you want to capture images in low light situations, Virtual surround sound, dial pad autocomplete, easier text input with an improved algorithm for tap-typing recognition, battery charging animation in the power-off state, improved Sense UI and more. The new released firmware has the build version set to 3.18.709.2, and it size is 512.22 MB. Note: the size can be different for other countries as Taiwan.
Moreover, the new release should solve all the reported issues complained by users on the Android 4.2.2 version.
The OTA notification about the new update should be received automatically for all scheduled HTC users, but you can check the Software Update menu and see there if is available for download.
If you’re an HTC One user in Taiwan and the new notification isn’t available yet, then you’ll receive it most probably soon, or in the next few days.
The international version of HTC ONE device should receive the new Android 4.3 JB update in the coming weeks.
