How To Install the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for A500H Samsung Galaxy A5 DUOS

For Samsung Galaxy Duos A5 , new Marshmallow Android 6.0.1 update is live. But not all regions will get it together, but it will be launched in phases. You can use it via a third party Odin app. We have described a detailed process for those who want to update it now.

Guidelines

There are a few guidelines before carrying out the process. Read the instructions carefully:

  • This tutorial should be used only by experienced users otherwise you may brick your smartphone.
  • Use this tutorial only for Galaxy Duos A500H and if you are not sure of the model, check Settings >About Phone

  • Now you will need to install Android 6.0.1 and for that you will need Odin tool which is a small utility developed for Samsung users waiting to install new updates.
  • Now in order to open Odin on PC, you will need to enable USB Debugging option.
  • It is possible to flash new firmware over rooted firmware, but root rights will be withdrawn and custom recovery is going to be replaced with a stock recovery image. Flashing the Android 6.0.1 over custom ROM is possible, but you will need to factory reset your device which will wipe out the system partition and forces your device to go in a boot mode.
  • You should not skip any step and must charge the battery fully.

Switch off phone > boot in recovery mode > choose wipe data or factory reset. You are done with the process.
