If you still use a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device you probably guess that it’s unlikely to get  the latest Android 7.1 Nougat update.

But today we have  a good news,as Trader418 a  CyanogeMod community member has come up with CM14.1 series custom ROM that can be applied to your device. Below is a tutorial that will show you how to flash CyanogenMod Android Nougat CM 14.1 custom ROM on your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 device.

The update comes with all the Android 7.1 Nougat features and weighs approximatively 360MB. It comes also with numerous value-added short cuts, performance tweaks that enhance user experience on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.You have to know, before starting the installation, that this CyanogenMod’s Nougat custom ROM is an unofficial version that may contain some bugs in it.

Before starting the custom ROM installation process, please be sure that the following prerequisites are met:

  1. Use this experimental Android 7.1 Nougat CyanogenMod CM 14.1 custom ROM only on Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) LTE versions, because, it might get bricked on other devices.
  2. Check your device’s version by going in Settings -> about phone -> model number.
  3. Before going forward with custom ROM installation you need to make sure that your device is rooted.
  4. Backup all the data, as the installation of custom ROM requires clearing memory; you can do that by installing Clockwork Mod (CWM) Recovery/TWRP in the device.
  5. Your Galaxy Note 3 battery charge level should be more than 80 to avoid the installation process to be interrupted midwayand the device getting temporarily bricked.
  6. To avoid that the Galaxy Note 3 device to not be recognized by your PC, make sure the computer has USB driver software.(Here you can find the SAMSUNG USB Driver for Mobile Phones for download).

Please note that  after installing custom ROM,your device’s performance and UI experience will improve, but this process makes the Samsung warranty void and also it will no longer be liable to provide updates in the future. You can restore the warranty of your device by flashing the device with stock-ROM.

Be advised that if the installation process is not followed properly, your smartphone can get bricked or permanently irreparable and we cannot be held responsible for any damage so you need to proceed with caution. As this installation procedure is very technical, it should be performed by a user with solid knowledge of rooting or software installation Android devices.
