  1. Download and save the required files on your PC. So, download ODIN application from here, and then download the updated file from here.
  2. Download the Samsung Kies application if your PChas the suitable USB driver.
  3. Next, unzip ODIN application and save it on your desktop.
  4. Unzip the firmware package and save it on the desktop.
  5. Install the Samsung KIES in your PC in order to install your drivers.
  6. Install the ODIN application on your PC.

  8. Run ODIN application on your PC.
  9. Connect the device to your PC using the USB cable.
  10. Next, wait until the ODIN application displays the “added” message and the ID:COM section is colored yellow or blue.
  11. From ODIN,  press the “PA” button and from the opened Windows, you need to search the update file in order to pick it.
  12. Do not make any changes on the ODIN configurations.
  13. Click on START button from ODIN.
  14. Now, the ODIN begins to update the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 device with the new Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.
  15. When ODIN wdisplays the “pass” message,  you should disconnect the USB cord and reboot the device.

Troubleshooting:

If the ODIN app gets stuck, close it, remove the USB cable from the PC. Now, force to restart the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 device, reinstall the drivers in your PC. Next, repeat steps as described above.

If the device ends the installation process and gets stuck in a boot loop, you need to enter into recovery mode, select the “wipe data /factory reset”, “wipe cache partition” and then“wipe dalvick cache”.
