Lenovo Tab S8

IFA 2014 just started, and we have the first official release, the Lenovo Tab S8 tablet, an economic device for just $199.

Lenovo, usually known for the high quality Windows-based laptops, hopes to get the attention of consumers with the Tab S8, a new 8-inch tablet based on Android operating system and quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor with 64-bit architecture.

So far, the Chinese company had used the Intel solutions exclusively on its products based on Microsoft Windows operating system.
The Lenovo Tab S8 is ultrathin (7,87mm) and light (294 grams) and is capable of running for seven hours on a single battery charge. It seems to be a good deal for those looking for an aesthetically appealing device, with a satisfactory level of performance.

The Lenovo Tab S comes with 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a quad-core 1.3 GHz Intel Z3745 processor and 2 GB of RAM. Tab S8 is able to run PC-class applications and also to render high-definition videos.

The new device offers 16 GB internal memory for data storage but without the possibility to expand it via microSD cards, because there is no slot available, and integrates an 8MP rear camera with F / 2.2 apertures and also 1.6MP front-facing one for video calls.

Other features include Dolby front speakers, support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and KitKat Android 4.4 operating system.
There is also the possibility of having a model with LTE based on the Intel 7160 XMMTM processor.

Lenovo Table S8 will initially be available in the United States, where the sale in the shops will start this month, but later will be sold in more countries, including Europe, at a price that should be around 150 euro.
