LG G3 Beat A Mid-Tier Smartphone With 5″ Display And Advanced UX Launched

LG Electronics officially announced the launch of LG G3 Beat smartphone, the mid-tier variant of LG G3 flagship.

The LG G3 Beat will be available starting July 18 first in South Korea while the global spread will begin from Europe and the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries in the following weeks and will be marketed under the name of LG G3 S in this regions.

The device comes with various features from LG G3 flagship being intended for the low- to mid-tier segment.

The LG G3 Beat boasts a 5″ IPS display with 294 ppi-pixel density and resolution of 720×1280 pixels, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage space expandable via microSD card.

The G3 Beat smartphone runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box, and it is animated by 2540mAh removable battery. The smartphone carries an 8MP rear camera with the Laser Autofocus and 1.3MP front-facing camera. Besides the Laser Autofocus feature, the LG G3 Beat also features Touch & Shoot, which will allow users to touch anywhere on the screen to focus and shoot, Gesture Shot to begin the automatic three-second countdown before a picture is snapped with just a hand gesture, Smart Keyboard and QuickMemo+ app.

In terms of connectivity the G3 Beat comes with 3G and 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS and Micro-USB.

Featuring the Floating Arc Design with smooth curved sides and gradually tapered edges the LG G3 Beat weighs 134 grams and measures 137.7×69.6×10.3mm, being available in Silk White, Metallic Black and Shine Gold colours.

No word about the price for the new smartphone but the South Korean giant noted it would be announced locally at the time of launch.
