LG G3 Cat.6 to Go Official in South Korea On July 25

LG Electronics has made its LG G3 Cat.6 handset official, the smartphone that was long been referred as LG G3 Prime.

LG G3 Cat.6 is an offshoot of the current LG G3 flagship and offers faster download speeds of up to 225Mbps(50% faster than traditional LTE-A) and a better processor under the hood, instead of a Snapdragon 801 here performs a Snapdragon 805.

While no information was given about the price for the LG G3 Cat.6 smartphone, it is confirmed to be available on the South Korean market starting July 25.

A post on company’s blog affirms that the LG G3 Cat.6 smartphone can download 80MB music video in 2.8 seconds and a 1GB movie in 36.4 seconds.

The LG G3 Cat.6 will be available in Metallic Black, Silk White, and Shine Gold colours, its Snapdragon 805-processor features a clock speed of 2.7GHz and comes in a 32GB variant with 3GB of RAM. However, the internal storage is expandable via microSD card for up to 128 GB.

The LG G3 Cat.6 integrates a Qualcomm Gobi 9 × 35 LTE-A Cat 6 Modem, boasts a 5,5″ Quad HD IPS display with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 / 538ppi and comes with a 13MP rear camera with laser, auto-focus and OIS plus and 2.1MP front- facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat the LG G3 Cat.6 is animated by a 3000mAh removable battery, also featuring support for 3G networks, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC functionalities
