New firmware update build 12.1.A.1.205 now available for Xperia SP

Sony started to distribute OTA a new firmware update designed for Xperia SP(C530X) devices. The latest available software for Xperia SP devices was the build number 12.1.A.1.201, and now the new update is the build number 12.1.A.1.205.

Since Sony did not provide a changelog for the update therefore we cannot tell you exactly what the new iteration brings but according to xperiablog it is possible this new 12.1.A.1.205 firmware to be beside a bug-fixing update one that will resolve the screen flickering issue that users of Xperia SP devices encounter and other issues also.

The new firmware is rolling out now for Orange and T-Mobile Xperia SP devices in France, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, United Kingdom and expected to be available in the other countries and carriers.

As we mentioned, this update will be sent to devices by using over-the-air (OTA) method and we should remind you that once your Xperia SP handset is eligible for receiving a new software update you will receive an automatic system message in the notification area, all you need to do is tap on it, select download and follow the on-screen instructions.

As always this update is pushed out to users in stages meaning that not all users will be able to update their devices at once.

You can also check for available updates manually under Settings -> About phone -> Software updates -> System updates.
If a software update is available, we recommend you to use a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to avoid data traffic.

If you want to check your device’s current software version go to Settings -> About phone -> Build number / version.

As soon as you have downloaded the latest 12.1.A.1.205 update for your Xperia SP(C530X) device, tell us what changes did you notice in our comment section below.
