New LG G3 (D855) Android 4.4.2 Update Now Available for Download

The European version of LG G3 smartphone with model number D855 started to receive a new Android 4.4.2 update. The same model number D855 was also sold in the Asian market, so users of this handset should receive an update to roll out on their devices soon.

Depending on their location, users have reported on XDA forum that they received a new Android 4.4.2 OTA update in two variants carrying software version V10E, one that brings power optimizations enhancements and is 43.74 MB in size and another that brings enhancements in apps and is 175.92 MB in size.

As usual, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OTA update for LG G3 D855 is seeding in phases, meaning that not all users might download and install the new update at the same time.

Once your LG G3 will be ready to receive the V10e software update, you should receive a system update message in your smartphone’s notifications bar. All you need to do is tap on the notification, choose download and wait for the download to finish, then select install now. When installation is complete, your smartphone will restart once or twice and will have a new V10e software on it.

If the Android 4.4.2 OTA update notification failed to prompt you, you can manually check for an available update by going to Settings -> About phone -> Update Center. If the 10e update is available you just need to confirm the download and if it is not, you will have to wait a little bit more.

Note that your LG G3 device needs to run in stock ROM in order to be able to receive a new update.
