New Motorola Moto G Officially Unveiled With 5-inch HD Screen

Motorola Moto G

Along with the new Moto X, Motorola introduced a revitalized variant of its affordable Moto G. The new Moto G smartphone comes with a larger screen of 5.0 “, but keep the rest of the specifications approximately the same. The new Moto G with 5.0 ” screen is a bit bulky and heavier than its predecessor with 4.5″ screen but is offered at the same price of $ 179.99.

Unfortunately, the jump to a larger screen was done keeping unchanged the 720p resolution so the clarity of pictures rendered by the panel with IPS technology would suffer.

The new Moto G’s display is covered by Gorilla Glass, and it is flanked by two stereo speakers. Like its predecessor, the new Moto G comes with 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM and with 8 or 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded via microSD cards.

The main camera of the new Moto G is an 8MP f/2.0 one and also features a 2MP front-facing camera for video calls on the go.

Motorola delivers the new Moto G smartphone with Android version 4.4.4 KitKat, following an update to Android version L to be available later.

The new Moto G measures 70.7mm x 141.5mm x 6.0-11.0mm, weights 149 grams and is dynamised by a non-removable 2,070mAh battery.

Besides the United States, the Moto G will also be available in France, India, UK, Spain, Brazil and Germany, however the manufacturer will expand the Moto G’s availability to more markets before the end of 2014.
