New Motorola Moto X Now Official with 5.2-inch 1080p display and Snapdragon 801 SoC

Motorola has announced an enhanced version of Moto X, with a larger screen than its predecessor.
Under the name Moto X XT1052, the new top of the range distinguishes itself with a design with polished metal frame, highlighted with decorated caps with different colors and textures, imitating surfaces like wood, bamboo and various types of leather.

In terms of specifications, the new Moto X comes with 5.2 ” AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p, and a density of 423 ppi and uses a configuration with 2GB RAM and Snapdragon 801 chipset, featuring 2.5GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 330 graphics.

In terms of internal memory, the Motorola Moto X XT1052 is offered in 16GB and 32GB versions, both lacking microSD slot, the manufacturer recommends the using of cloud storage services for increased storage space.

The device comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, capable of shooting at 4K resolution and a 2MP front camera optimized for selfies.

The new Moto X comes with Android version 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box enriched with applications and Motorola’s exclusivities such as improved support for voice commands and a system for gesture commands implemented using infrared sensors integrated with the smartphone.

The device is animated by a non-removable 2300mAh battery, measures 140.8 x 72.4 x 9.97 mm and weights 144 grams.

Special for the new Moto X, Motorola offers a Bluetooth headset with phone matching design.

Motorola will ensure availability for the new Moto X, first in the United States, Mexico, France, Germany and the UK markets, following that the list to be expanded over time. Those interested can order the new Moto X XT1052 at a price of $ 499.99.
