Official CyanogenMod 11 Nightly Builds Now Available For Sony Xperia L

Most users who buy a smartphone expect to receive support for new versions of software from the manufacturer but at a time, updates to the latest versions of software ceases to occur.
We are now talking about the Sony Xperia L device, which for some time remained stuck on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and no longer receives updates to the latest versions of Android, at least for now.

The positive aspect is that Sony is among Cyanogenmod supporters and so users have a good chance to receive new versions of Android’s OS.
Now Sony Xperia L has CyanogenMod 11 Nightly support based on Android 4.4.4, entitled “taoshan”, and is available for download on the CyanogenMod website.

However, because it is a nightly release and not a stable one there might be some bugs that might annoy Xperia L users, bugs that will be remedied when the stable CyanogenMod 11 build will be ready.
You can wait and flash the ROM when a stable one is distributed, or you can test now CM 11 on your Xperia L with the first available official CyanogenMod 11 nightly build.

Note that if you want to give the custom ROM a try, you will need to have an unlocked bootloader, but also that unlocking the bootloader and flashing ROM, you can lose your Xperia L’s warranty.
Therefore be certain to know what you are doing before you get flashing, and we have to mention also that you should take into consideration a copy of ROM before taking action.
