How to Root the Google Nexus 5 device on Android 4.4.3 KitKat OS:
- First, download the TWRP Recovery image for Nexus 5
- Now, download the ADB files (Windows, Mac and Linux) and save them in your PC.
- Extract the ADB and Fastboot zip file in a folder called “android”, rename the TWRP image file with the “nexus5.image” name.
- Next, boot the Nexus 5 Android device in the boot loader mode (Power off the device, press the Volume UP and Volume Down and Power button simultaneously).
- Now, connect the Nexus 5 device to the PC by using the USB cable.
- Open the terminal or command prompt file from the created “Android” folder. Press the “Win + R” and then when a window is open, enter “cmd” and hit the Enter button.
- Now, enter the command line “fastboot devices” into CMD window.
- Unlock the boot loader, enter the next command: Fastboot oem unlock
