Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 started to receive Android 4.4.2 KitKAt Update

Samsung has just begun distributing Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for several of its devices and most recently for the Galaxy Mega 6.3 device. The phablet was launched last year and run the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, is one of Samsung’s best and most stable device, and now will get the latest version of Android.

The updating software is number I9200XXUDNE4 and is now available in Russia via Samsung Kies, and we suppose that soon will be available as OTA. If there are no issues outstanding, the update will arrive soon in other countries too, but it usually takes a few weeks to be available for all users.

If you are a Galaxy Mega 6.3 device user you can check if the operating system update is available via wireless connection, just check the setting’s menu of the phablet, tap Settings-> More-> About phone-> Software updates-> Check for software updates. Of course, there is also the option to check by connecting the device to Samsung Kies via data cable.

Those interested can download the firmware file from the firmware section of sammobile.

The update brings KitKat specific improvements, including better performance, greater autonomy, support for wireless printing, white status bar icons, camera shortcut on lock screen and more. The main items you will receive on Galaxy Mega 6.3 have been already included to the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update that recently received the Galaxy S4 Active smartphone.
