Samsung SM-G850 Spotted In Benchmark With Octa-Core Exynos CPU

SM-G850

Samsung seems to be working on a new smartphone with specifications a little bit contradictory, alternating high-end components to other much lower, at least according to what is reported on GFXBench.

The device appeared on GFXBench, with model number SM-G850 has a 4.7 “HD (1.280 x 720 pixels), which can also be found in many models of medium-low, and joins an Exynos 5 Octa 5410 CPU instead, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB of internal memory and 11 MP rear camera(4608 x 259). All the options for the main camera such as auto focus, face detection, flash, HDR and touch focus are present. The front camera is a 2MP one and can record videos in 1080p.

On GFXBench, there is a similar model: SM-G8508S, with almost identical specifications but the quad-core Snapdragon processor 800 and 16 GB of RAM.

The two variants of the same model run Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS, which will flesh out the medium-high range of Samsung, perhaps in the form of variations of the Galaxy S5.

At the moment, it is unclear how the device will be called and when it will launch in markets.

It is possible that this new SM-G850 device  to be the Samsung Galaxy Neo-S5, the cheaper version of the Galaxy S5 with a slightly smaller screen and more powerful hardware, like the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, that was put on the market earlier this year.
