Japanese mobile phone maker Sony has started to roll out a new great new firmware updates for Xperia Z Ultra phablet around the globe, namely C6802 14.1.B.1.510 firmware.
The new release comes some key improvements, and should provide Xperia Z Ultra device’s users with a better Android experience comparing with the previously versions.
Sony didn’t provide some specific information about when this firmware will be available for all devices, but the roll out process could be over in a matter of weeks, as happened with the previous updates.
According to our source XperiaGuide, the new software version comes as a 775 MB file and packs a wide range of bug fixes inside and a variety of new features.
Based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the new firmware sports X-Reality for Mobile feature, a beautiful enhancement of stock email, Superior Auto mode included in camera settings.
With this firmware, the battery life is improved a lot and the Video quality increased due to X-Reality. Furthermore, the background color has been changed, and the now can be used white background UI.( White – Grey actually).
The update also comes with new widgets such as – Clock, Alarm Clock, Calculator etc, and the One-hand keyboard operation possible now.
Moreover, more than one small app can be opened now, just like we saw in leaked Honami ROM, Overall performance increased, and smoother firmware, Messaging app refreshed design and more.
The new update is released for Xperia Z Ultra C6802, it is based on Android 4.2.2 build version, the based version is 8974-AAAAANAZQ-10220006-09, and the new firmware sports kernel version 3.4.0, Build number – 14.1.B.1.510 firmware. The new release also can be downloaded through the PC Companion / SUS and Bridge application.
To update the Xperia Z Ultra to 14.1.B.1.510 firmware update, download PC Companion or SUS or Bridge (depending on the PC OS), then connect the Sony Xperia Z Ultra device and check for any 14.1.B.1.510 firmware update notification, when the new update is available click on update and follow the on-screen instructions.
The new update is available in this moment for Xperia Z Ultra C6802 device, but it is expected with the same new features and bug fixed in additional for all variants of Xperia Z Ultra LTE versions.
