Sony Xperia M is a great entry-level Android smartphone. Released in August this year by Sony, the new Xperia M now receive a firmware update that is developed to fix some issues and also to improve the overall performances of the smartphone.
According to XperiaBlog, the new firmware update is currently pushed out for the Sony Xperia M device model number C 190X. The new firmware is build version 15.1.C.1.17, and it fixes some of the reboot issues that affect the device when users attached their headphones to it.
The new firmware release is currently pushed out in Asia and certain parts in Europe starting with Germany, but the new firmware is expected to be rolled out globally in the next few days, as the Sony made with the new firmware updates.
The Xperia M device is based on trademark Xperia design, and it received high scores for look, technical specs and its quality.
In the technical specifications part, the Xperia M flagship is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8227 Snapdragon chipset with a Dual-core 1 GHz Krait CPU and an Adreno 305 GPU helped by a 1 GB of RAM. It comes with 4 GB of built-in storage, but only 2GB are available for the user, in additional it comes with microSD slot support which can extend its internal memory with up to 32 GB. The Xperia M device is a 4-inch 16M-color TFT capacitive touchscreen and support a 480 x 854 pixels resolution at 245ppi.
In terms of connectivity, it brings with Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual or quad-band HSPA support, 21 Mbps HSDPA, 5.76 Mbps HSUPA, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, ANT+, GPS with A-GPS; GLONASS and NFC support.
In its back side, the Xperia M device comes with a 5 MP Autofocus camera that is features with a single LED flashlight, HDR and in additional the Xperia M device has a VGA front-facing camera.
The Xperia M device is also available in a dual-SIM variant and is named Xperia M dual, both of them comes with Android Jelly Bean version 4.1.2 out of the box.
