T-Mobile OTA update (14.4.B.0.56) is out for Sony Experia Z1s
The T-Mobile’s Xperia Z1s (C6916) can be updated using the new upgrade with build number 14.4.B.0.56.
What it has to offer?
The new upgrade pushed by Sony doesn’t offer any ground breaking changes to the operating system and user interface. The company has started to push Over the Air (OTA) updates which are 4.2MB in size.
Those who have rooted their Xperia Z1s which are under T-Mobile can install the update too but the modifications will be kept.
Sony’s Xperia Z1s (C6916) is power packed android device. The smartphone released in 2014 has 5 inches display with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and TFT capacitive touchscreen. Sony released the phone in January 2014. Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 powers the phone. The quad-core processor is clocked at 2.2 GHz. Adreno 330 graphics processor handles the high intensity tasks along with 2 GB RAM.
In photography department, phone has 20.7 MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash. 2 MP front facing camera can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps. The smartphone is expected to receive upgrade of Android v5.0 (Lollipop). Currently it runs on Android v4.3 (Jelly Bean) with 3000 mAh battery.
Sony has given many connectivity options to users in this phone. It has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, along with support to Wi-Fi hotspot features. One can transfer big files easily using Wi-Fi direct. NFS and Bluetooth 4.0 are present too. It supports 4G LTE bandwidth up to 42 Mbps. Internal storage of 32GB can be expanded up to 64 GB using microSD card.
